I study English by listening to English-related programs on EBS radio.

나는 EBS 라디오의 영어 관련 방송을 들으면서 영어 공부를 한다.

 

▶tune in to 을 청취하다, 시청하다

Since 2015, I have especially tuned in to a program called "입트영".

특히 <입트영>이라는 프로그램을 2015년부터 들어 왔다.

 

▶entertaining 흥미진진한

It's very useful and entertaining.

매우 유용하고 흥미진진하다.

 

▶deal with 을 다루다, 취급하다

▶listener request 청취자 신청

The topics they deal with are also chosen from listener requests.

방송에서 다루는 주제들은 청취자들이 신청하는 내용으로 선정된다.

 

▶set one's alarm 알람을 맞추다

▶wake up to 에 잠에서 깨다

In the past, I set my alarm to the radio, and woke up to "입트영".

한때는 라디오를 알람으로 맞춰 놓고, 입트영을 들으면서 잠에서 깼다.

 

When I was young, I set my alarm on a clock intstead of on my phone.

내가 어렸을 때에는 휴대폰이 아닌 시계로 알람을 맞췄었다.

 

I set my alarm to go off earlier than usual.

평소보다 이른 시간에 울리도록 알람을 맞췄다.

 

▶fit someone's schedule 의 스케쥴에 맞다

These days, the morning broadcast doesn't fit my schedule, so I use the Bandi app to tune in.

요즘은 아침 방송 시간이 내 스케쥴과 맞지 않아서, 반디 앱으로 방송을 듣고 있다.

 

▶feel fresh 새롭게 느껴지다

Until last year, I reviewed the content from the day before, and then listened to each show.

나는 작년까지만 해도 전날의 내용을 복습한 다음 그날 방송을 들었다.

Now, I reviewed the content from a week earlier.

이제는 일주일 전 내용을 복습한다. 

This way, the content feels fresh again.

이렇게 하면 내용이 다시 새롭게 느껴진다.

 

▶change things up 변화를 주다

I dyed my hair at home to change things up.

변화를 주기 위해 집에서 염색을 했어. 

 

▶be closely related to 에 밀접하게 연관되다

The topics must be closely related to our daily lives.

주제들이 우리 일상 생활과 밀접한 연관이 있겠다.
